Meet Me!
Hey, I'm Alexa! I'm not a regular mom, I'm an adhd mom. Besides raising the little human that altered my life, my hobbies include; admiring trees and nature's creations, starting projects/interest's and not completing them, cleaning and organizing like my life depends on it, Montessori teaching/parenting life, and all things bookish!!!
Reading is a hobby that I have always fallen in and out of. The second year of my child's life I read the ACORT series along with the Throne of Glass series. I have since listened to Crescent City on Spotify Audiobooks 3 times. Finally moving on from the master piece that is Sarah J. Maas, I have landed on Zodiac Academy by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti. I listen to this series on audiobooks as well. I mainly use the audiobooks for long drives and my quirky personality gives me the ability to read/listen to multiple books at a time. Starting this blog has enticed me out of my comfort zone. I have come across the monthly book subscription boxes Book of the Month and Allurial. Both of which have given me smut vibe novels along with hats to die for. Something about a physical book just hits the spot. Since re finding my love of books, I hope to inspire others to get lost in whatever flavor of books that's desired.

I got into Montessori when my son was around 10 months old. Traditional school is not my preferred learning style and as my son grew up I knew Montessori would be the right choice for both of us. I eventually landed into the realm of Montessori and I'm never going back. To me it is not only a way of learning/teaching but also a way of life. I have learned to be more intentional, practical, mindful, and most of all, self regulated. I have not only learned from the teachers surrounding me but most importantly the children. My favorite quote from Maria Montessori is "learn from the child." What happens when we obtain the capability of staying still is impactful.
