Plant the seeds and watch them grow. -Alexa Morey
I created this blog to have somewhere to put my thoughts and experiences. Maybe someone else will be able to relate to them too. I'll start at the beginning of this journey.

At age 27 I had my sweet 7.8lb son Ronan. Now at almost 30 myself, he is at the fun age of 3 1/2 where life is chaotically lovely.
For the first 7 months of Ronan's life it wasn't what I had envisioned. The rest hasn't been either but hey, everything works out right?! At 10 months old life changed in a different way and this is the seed that started my Montessori journey.
In April 2023 I got a job at a childcare center that Ronan attended and I got my first apartment! We spent so much time playing, laughing and getting to know each other in a household that was just ours. A month into working there I had a job interview at the current Montessori school we are at. It wasn't a good fit at the time but I still enrolled Ronan on the wait list.
December our journey hit a bump. The second year molars started coming in. If you've been there then you know what I'm talking about. Our wake up time went from 6/7am to 4/5am with bedtime staying at 7/8pm. Ronan has always created our sleep schedule and chooses to be an early bird. So am I apparently.
In early January 2024 I went back to college for the first time since 2018. I chose to go the surgical technician route and steered away from the Montessori teacher dream. I wanted to make a decent amount of money while still doing something I enjoy. While in college and caring for Ronan alone I was still working part time at the childcare center as the nutrition specialist, a job designed for a full time person.
English class ended in May and Ronan got accepted to the school we are currently at. In June we moved back to my parents. I thought taking college math online was a good idea but I was very, very wrong. I dropped out of college in October, only a month into the new semester. I chose to quit the childcare center and be a substitute teacher at Ronan's school and pursue that path. Being a Montessori teacher fills my cup.
Starting and ending the school year as an assistant teacher brings us to our current time. Summer 2025! We have the whole time off and I have used all of the skills I learned from the teachers and students. I say I am a single parent, which has been true, but I do have an amazing partner who is so great with Ronan. I have learned more than I could have ever imagined, and it never stops.

I always wanted to be a writer of some sort. I had found BuzzFeed and knew I wanted to be a blogger. It hasn't been until now that I have had the motivation to write. It's a combination of life experiences and tackling my depression and adhd. I love that I can openly share my thoughts and someone might read them and like them or be able to relate. How cool?! Join me through my blogging, parenting, and life journey.
